By the end of this workshop, you’ll have learned many essential voiceover basics; and have a solid understanding of the voiceover industry, its various job opportunities, and the training, skills and level of commitment you’ll need to succeed as a voice actor.

BEGINNING SEMINAR

This accelerated weekend seminar covers much of the same ground as Beginning Workshop and is designed for people who can’t commit to six weeks and/or don’t mind being thrown into the fire. You’ll explore voice acting fundamentals, including script interpretation, microphone technique, acting choices, and dialogues. You’ll leave this class with a better understanding of the voice acting craft, and the skills and techniques you’ll need to succeed in the current marketplace. This class is a recommended
option to Beginning Workshop for the time-pressed novice or students who’ve had previous professional voice acting, acting or broadcasting experience.

CREATING CHARACTERS

Length: 10-hour weekend seminar

These animation experts will share many of their insights, tricks, and techniques with you, during this informative and entertaining
seminar. We promise that even those of you who might find the idea of character work intimidating, will discover voices and performances inside of you that you never even knew existed. You’ll take away a better understanding of the character creation process, and an increased confidence in your ability to invent colorful, memorable, and funny characters.

INTRODUCTION TO NARRATION

During this class you’ll explore various narration styles and
techniques as you work with a wide variety of copy. You’ll gain
a clearer perspective on what it takes to succeed in the growing field of industrial narration, and a true appreciation for the
dramatic and storytelling skills required to deliver strong,
engaging documentary narration performances.
Prerequisites: Beginning Workshop or Beginning Seminar.

SIMPLY ACTING
Director: Frank Coppola
Length: 12-hour four-week workshop

Frank Coppola, teaches many of the fundamental acting techniques
he’s learned and used successfully over the years, both as an actor and as a director. Through participation in theater games and improv exercises, you’ll increase your comfort level and gain confidence in your performance ability. You’ll also spend time behind the microphone learning how to apply these basic acting concepts to performing commercial copy.
